Our first lamb.

 Well, I guess this makes us sheep farmers now.  On Monday just before lunch, I went outside to see the progress on our new patio being poured and heard a banana, but it sounded different.  So I went out to check and this is what I found...

A beautiful single ewe lamb.  I want to call her Eve but we will see.  Pearl is such a great mama.  Very careful and aware of where her lamb is.  Was a little nervous about letting the lamb suckle but with a little coaching stand still figures it out.  She is watchful and protective.  Gives an appropriate amount of milk and does a great job!!  

I figured that April 15th was the 'start lambing' date so this was right on par.  She passed her cleanings about 90 minutes later.
